Although October 4th has come and gone, I can remember it vividly. The first real rain storm of the season was predicted for that day. And as the day approached it look more and more certain that the forecast would come true. Sure enough, almost perfectly described by our local weather guru, the rain in fact fell between the hours of 10 and 11 in the morning, but it left nothing but beautiful blue sky above for Bill and Meg’s ceremony at Montana de Oro.

The weather conditions that day were not the only special element that day. Rather than renting a hall or inviting a hundred guests or more, Bill and Meg went for the less traditional and more intimate setting. Guests were required to scamper up an access road to a knoll which overlooked the entire coastline of the State Park. High heels were traded out for Chaco’s. And the traditional ceremony music was traded for Ryan (the brides brother) playing the didgeridoo. All of these details (or lack thereof), resulted in a truly intimate ceremony between two amazing people and a group of fabulous friends and family. Thanks Meg and Bill for allowing me to be a part of that moment.
